2010 Tournament Recaps CHICOT LAKE -GUEST TOURNAMENT-FEB.
27th Chicot Lake played host to our 5th Annual Guest Tournament as 16 teams headed north for our yearly visit. Rain, high and unusually muddy water had most anglers looking high and low for a chance to hook that big one. For the 3rd year in a row, the lake gave us another record setting day. Once again, it seems Mark Angelle had the answer as rang up 2 fish weighing in at 12.20 lbs and breaking the Individual 1 Day record of 12.06 lbs set by Daniel Bryant in last years Guest Tournament. Mark's 8.24 lb beauty anchored his weight and also took BIG FISH for the day (and probably for the year). Mark Angelle Jr. brought in 2 as well that totaled 6.23 lbs giving Team Angelle 18.43 lbs to capture the Team Event. Lawrence Brunet and Mike Dubuc had 5 keepers for 2nd Place, total weight came in at 13.76 lbs. 3rd Place had Daniel Bryant and Jason Prather also with 5 fish scaling in at 12.25 lbs. Individual winners had Mark Sr. with 12.20 lbs, Lawrence was 2nd with 9.81 lbs and Joe "I'm Back" Phillips was 3rd with 2 nice fish weighing 7.02 lbs. A little side note: Since the club started in 2006, we have had 3 tournaments in which we averaged 3 lbs or better, yep, all 3 were at Chicot. You might not catch alot but the ones you catch are usually big. TEAMS: 4th-Joe Phillips and Danny Hebert with 7.02 lbs, 5th-Greig Prejean and Scott Bizette had 6.19 lbs, 6th-Jeremy Durham and Shane Cormier 6.04 lbs, 7th-Randy Prejean and Angel Guillen 4.30 lbs, 8th-Wayne Clifton and Andrew Myers 3.04 lbs. INDIVIDUAL: 4th-Jeremy Durham with 6.04 lbs, 5th-Daniel Bryant had 5.03 lbs, 6th-Randy Prejean 4.30 lbs, 7th-Wayne Clifton 3.04lbs. GUESTS: 1st-Jason Prather 7.23 lbs, 2nd- Mark Angelle Jr. 6.23 lbs, 3rd-Scott Bizette 6.19 lbs, 4th-Mike Dubuc 3.95 lbs. A total of 23 bass were weighed in totaling 71.03 lbs, averaging 3.08 lbs.
